Anti-slip covering: flexible from the roll

The ReCyGrid covering in grey-anthracite is supplied on a roll, either 50 mm or 100 mm wide and 18.3 m long in each case. This lets you cut it to the length you need, for example for a flight of steps or a longer walkway.

According to the manufacturer, the covering is made from recycled materials and is intended for indoor and outdoor use. Its surface texture is designed for good grip. Our product data do not give a slip resistance class for the covering. If you need to prove a specific class, check this in the technical data sheet before buying.

The muted grey-anthracite colour blends unobtrusively into many floors. If you also want a warning effect, combine the covering with a coloured marking on the step edge.

Aluminium anti-slip plate: firmly fixed and hard-wearing

The m2 anti-slip plates consist of a flat, 1.5 mm aluminium plate with an anti-slip surface and are rated R13. They are fitted using pre-drilled fixing holes, which according to the manufacturer requires no specialist knowledge.

The manufacturer lists stairs, ramps, entrances, passageways and walkways, indoors and outdoors, as places of use. According to the product description, both plates also suit difficult surfaces such as wood, gratings or carpet. For the day-fluorescent plate, the description also lists surfaces smeared with oil or grease. They can also be used to repair damaged concrete or wooden surfaces.

Our selection includes the plate in yellow at 114 × 635 mm and in a day-fluorescent version at 114 × 1,000 mm. According to the manufacturer, the anti-slip surface can be replaced when it wears.

Which solution for which task?

Outdoor stairs and ramps at the workshop

On outdoor stairs and ramps exposed to wind, rain and dirt, the aluminium plate comes into its own. It is firmly fitted using fixing holes and rated R13. The yellow or day-fluorescent version also makes the step edge clearly visible.

Walkways and platforms in the warehouse

For longer walkways, platforms or many steps in one run, the covering from the roll can be more practical. It can be cut to the length you need and laid in two widths. Check in advance whether the surface is suitable for laying.

What to look for when choosing

  • Surface: Gratings, wood or carpet point to the fitted plate. Both solutions are possible on smooth, solid surfaces.
  • Proof: If you need a specific slip resistance class, choose a product for which this class is stated.
  • Length and shape: Roll goods suit long runs, plates suit individual steps and edges.
  • Visibility: Coloured plates mark the edge at the same time, the anthracite covering stays discreet.
  • Inspection: Check coverings and plates regularly for wear and loose areas.
